Hi, I’m Hayleigh Colombo. Welcome to my autobiography.

Right now, I’m reporting on business, agriculture,  manufacturing, transportation and writing lots of other interesting stories at the Lafayette Journal & Courier in Indiana—a Gannett-owned newspaper about an hour north of Indianapolis.

I’ve also been published in USA Today, The Indianapolis Star, The Hill (Washington), Indianapolis Business Journal and Indianapolis Monthly.

A little about me: My morning is incomplete without a (very) large coffee and a newspaper. I do my best work under deadline pressure. I treat my First Amendment freedoms as a privilege. I can spot a poorly measured pica from a mile away.

I aim for accuracy in reporting and fairness before I draw conclusions. I think journalists are heroes.

Oh, and I got a great liberal arts education at Butler University in the heart of Indianapolis. Go Bulldogs!
